Immerse yourself in the world of real wood veneers with us. Located on Lake Lungern in Central Switzerland, we are passionate about aesthetics and the responsible use of natural resources. That’s why we use real wood veneers for the surface of our acoustic elements, which we produce in our own veneer factory. This means we know the origin of every tree and can offer you and your project an almost endless variety of different wood species and their grains. The diversity of our cutting and joining methods gives us the freedom to realize individual requirements of any dimension.

Sustainability

Topakustik has always relied on its own production of real wood veneers. This is not only due to their excellent technical and functional properties, but also specifically from a sustainability perspective. You can learn more about each of these topics in the following sections.

The use of real wood veneers in combination with MDF panels has many advantages over solid wood – both functionally and environmentally:

  • uses less valuable wood species
  • This avoids large-scale deforestation.
  • less energy consumption
  • MDF boards warp less and have good acoustic properties.
  • MDF boards are also more fire-resistant.
  • provides more possibilities in the visual design of walls and ceilings

In our own veneer factory, we have the opportunity to control and manage the entire value chain of the wood we use. This closed-loop procurement system ensures maximum sustainability.

The origin and country of source of every tree used and processed in Topakustik’s veneer factory are known. This complete history allows us to selectively use stands that are not endangered and will not cause problems for reforestation. Further advantages include:

Topakustik is inherently committed to sustainability and is certified accordingly. Our governance requires the consistent implementation of these values ​​and guidelines. We source our wood exclusively from sustainably managed forests and ensure that the entire supply chain meets ecological and social standards. Our products can be sourced in accordance with FSC standards and comply with the requirements of the European Timber Regulation (EUTR).
