High above Lake Biel is the “home base” of all Swiss sport community. The National Sports Center Magglingen (NSM) was founded in 1944 and today combines countless sports facilities to offer both top and ambitious young athletes ideal opportunities for their training. Almost every Swiss Olympic champion knows “Magglingen” very well.

Topakustik Micro with a “knotty spruce” veneer was chosen as the sound-absorbing wall cladding for the new multifunctional sports hall. The installation was made with finish screws, in combination with the knots of the spruce veneer, the screw heads are barely visible. The reason this unusual installation method was selected is due to the high mechanical load. More than forty custom-made doors and cabinets have been provided from Topakustik. We have developed those solutions, based on the requirements for Switzerland sport infrastructures. A custom solution for a custom purpose that has worked out several times already.
