Recently a new office wing was completed, designed by the architectural firm Vikelas Architects.
The main architectural feature of the new building is the large-scale perforated wall with framed views towards the solar atrium, offering sun control and reducing glare. Most importantly it’s a significant architectural element, providing sound absorption and thus a pleasant social space for informal meetings and lunch breaks in the heart of the building.
To respond to these specific requirements, Topakustik Perfo Clou was selected as the cladding material, in a white finish and small perforation, to preserve the perception of whiteness. Moreover, the use of Topakustik allowed for greater freedom in the distinctive design of the interior perforated walls, a material that interacts with the other architectural elements of the atrium – the vertical green walls, the black cladding of the columns with stainless steel reveals, the transparent glass railings around the balconies and the two connecting bridges.
