Road to the Veneer

Heading for perfection

The journey of the veneer begins from the carefully felled tree – the trunk is processed and divided into segments. The veneer leaves smeared from it are carefully sorted and joined to form harmonious panels. The natural surface is perforated and refined with the highest precision. This results in step-by-step acoustic solutions that preserve the natural beauty of the wood and show the highest quality from real craftsmanship.

Cutting Types

The cut type determines the pattern

The way the tree trunk is cut plays a crucial role in the look of the veneer. It further defines the characteristic of the panel – from the floral pattern that is tangentially cut to the annual rings, to the streaky look achieved by a cut perpendicular to the annual rings. In order to obtain half-rift, rift and body veneers, the trunk is divided into sections and blocks, from which the individual veneer blade is then knifed.

quarter-cut
Quarter-cut: The veneer shows a fine, streaky grain.
semi-quarter-cut
Semi-quarter cut: The grain shows a slight curvature. Astholes and natural features in the wood are visible depending on the trunk.
composition
Construction: The veneer is given a floral and decorative look.

Cross-panel Veneer

Each panel is uniquely handmade

Depending on the order, top acoustics enable a hand-picked selection of the veneers, whereby the appearance, colour and master availability are individually tailored to your project. The desired veneer pattern can be continued across panels over the entire room height, and harmonious transitions in width are also possible. Special solution components are created in precise manual work, since such complex details cannot be manufactured by machine.

Further Processing

Give the veneer an individual touch

Regardless of the degree of use, the customer can select the type of wood, a specific tree trunk and various finishing options that fit the individual project. By pickling, brushing or dyeing, the surface is given additional textures that clearly characterize the appearance of the veneer.
